Message from Dot Hunter - APD for International Goodwill and Understanding

This year we are trying to engage the whole Federation in awareness-raising of the Oslo Process to ban cluster munitions - so far very few SIGBI countries have signed up to this initiative and we need those who have not to think positively about the issue. So we are asking all Federation countries to use the opportunity to promote cluster munitions awareness during their UN Day of Peace events on 21 September. I appreciate that, for those in the UK, this is very shortly before Landmine Action Week, but this is a push to see if we can obtain some pressure for more countries to sign up to the Oslo Process.
