International Objectives/Programme Focus Areas
Programme Focus and the International Objectives that replace them
Prior to 2007 there were six Programme Focus areas, into which all our Programme work fitted. At the International Convention in Glasgow in July 2007 these were replaced with ten International Objectives. The on-line International Database now requires the reporting of our work to fit between these 10 Objectives and not between six Focus areas.
In our SIGBI Federation we have retained an Assistant Programme Director for each of the six Programme Focus areas. In order to avoid confusion, below are listed the six Focus areas and in brackets after each are the International Objectives that now replace them. For example, one of the six Programme Focus areas, 'Economic and Social Development' is now contained in International Objectives 1 and 10. Following each Focus area below is the wording of each International Objective followed by some examples of the type of work that fits into this.
