International President, Margaret Lobo, cutting the cake
On 14 Febuary 1924 Soroptimist International of Greater London was formed, the first Soroptimist club to be formed outside the USA.
On St Valentine's Day, 2009, the club celebrated 85 years. A weekend of celebrations was planned, with a dinner at the Corus Hotel, Lancaster Gate, on the charter day.
Pictured above (from left to right) is Noreen Goss, who at the time was President of SI Greater London, Carwen Wynn Howells, who was Federation President, and Margaret Lobo, then International President, cutting the 85th anniversary cake. Margaret was Soroptimist International President from July 2007 - 2009.
