Ending violence against women and girls – your voice counts

Members from SI Sheffield and SI Hallamshire in Yorkshire responded to the public consultation initiated by the Home Office. They visited the tour bus while it was in Sheffield and completed the online questionnaire asking for opinions about keeping women safe and how safety can be improved.

They discussed relevant issues with the counsellor accompanying the bus tour and with a Leeds based representative from the Home Office.

The local press attended having previously been given information about the award winning work Soroptimists have been doing in Yorkshire, especially with regard to anti-traffiking.
