Women Walking for Women

Around 29 walkers, including some men, were waved off by a reporter from the local paper Chad. Their walk took place at picturesque Farnsfield in Nottinghamshire.

The weather was kind to them and some people met up at the Plough Inn for lunch before tackling the walk. The five miles walk was fairly flat on country lanes and farmland. There was a shorter walk available but no one took up that option.

At the end of the five mile walk they all met up at the Village Hall around 4.15 p.m. where the Social and Hospitality Committee had laid on home made cakes and cups of tea. This helped to finish off a wonderful day for a good cause. To date they have raised £250 with money still coming in.
