Leaflet on Violence Against Women

Matrix DL cover

The UKPAC has produced a tri-fold leaflet on our Flagship Project, Violence Against Women - Stop It Now, for clubs and Regions in the UK to use to promote their work to the media. They are available from us - free of charge - or can be downloaded and printed. The entire leaflet is in stark black and white and, if you do intend printing them off yourself, we would ask that you try to print them on good quality 100g paper for better effect.

We have also produced a sample letter (written by a Chelmsford Soroptimist) that can accompany the leaflet. We hope you make use of this, it is intended to raise the profile of the work that you do within your local communities.

Roller Banners

The UKPAC has three roller banners (intended for use together as a triptych) which clubs and regions are very welcome to borrow. The UKPAC undertakes the cost of getting the three roller banners to you, but you pay the return costs, which are set at £20.53 anywhere in the UK.

Some frequently asked questions:

What will it cost?

It will cost a club or Region £20.53 to post it anywhere in the UK.

The UKPAC undertakes to bear the cost of getting the set out to you by Parcel Service, but you are responsible for the cost of returning the set, either back to us, or to another club or Region who has asked to borrow it. The postage for returning the parcel is £13.61 but to that we do ask that you add £3.50 to cover compensation insurance of £500, which we require. Although there is no vat due on postage, if compensation insurance is taken out the entire cost - in this case £17.11 - is liable to 20% vat, bringing the cost of the parcel to £20.53. This insurance is, however, necessary as it protects you. The replacement costs of the triptych, should the parcel get lost in the post, are over £500. So, the total cost (including the cost of the insurance and vat) to post this triptych anywhere in the UK is now £20.53.

Are the three Roller Banners heavy?

The individual roller banners are extremely light. All three, together with the carry case (above), weigh less than 10 kilos.

How long will the set take to get to us?

The triptych set will be sent out to you by Royal Mail Standard Parcel Service and you must allow five working days for that. And you should ensure that you return it, promptly, as others may be waiting to borrow the set.

Can they be used separately?

No, they were designed to be viewed as a set of three. We will only despatch them in the set.

Can they be used outside?

No, the three banners are designed to be used indoors; they are not suitable for outdoor use as they are, purposely, lightweight and the rollers would act as sails in the event of any wind.

So if your club or Region is staging an event and would like to borrow the three roller banner triptych set, please complete the on-line booking form with the dates of your event. But don't forget that, even if they are available, the post office ask that you allow up to five working days to get the set to you, and five working days for it to get back to us, so do allow plenty of time. And the more advance notice you can give us of your event, the better your chances of borrowing the set.
