Home Office Reports

In March 2007 the Home Office produced a report:

UK Action Plan on Tackling Human Trafficking.

"On 23rd March 2007, our predecessors Home Secretary Dr John Reid MP and the Scottish Executive Minister for Justice, Cathy Jamieson MSP, launched the UK Action Plan on Tackling Human Trafficking.

"Human trafficking is a serious and often highly organised crime in which people, including children, are traded as commodities, for sexual exploitation, forced labour or other forms of exploitation.

"The Action Plan sets out the Government strategy to tackle this abhorrent practice that has no place in the UK or the modern world. The plan was developed in consultation and collaboration with our stakeholders."

This document was updated in July of the following year:

Update to the UK Action Plan on Tackling Human Trafficking.
