SI Rishton and Great Harwood
The main charities this year are Marie Curie Cancer Care and Handicapped Children’s Pilgrimage Fund. At the Rishton Festival members ran a fancy Goods stall raising £100 and then later the same month an indoor car boot sale which has brought their fund-raising total up to £208.
Empty Smartie tubes provide funds for the International President’s Appeal as they are routinely filled with 20 pence pieces.
Members took part in the Slave Walk organised by the Region and continue their ongoing commitment to

· Talking Newspapers
· Friends of Rishton Youth
· Patient and Public Forum
· Stewarding (with SI tabards) at the Rishton Festival Parade
