SI Pendleside

SI Pendleside’s charities this year are the North West Air Ambulance and the NSPCC. To this end several service and fundraising activities are planned including a market stall in the old market in Clitheroe.

The club will also be continuing with its regular commitments to the Child Contact Centre, the Pendle Women’s Refuge and Life Education Centres.

In August there will be a Summer Strawberry tea with a raffle which will go towards the new Quadrennial Project, Project SIerra.

The club members are already starting to collect toys and clothes to send out in shoe boxes this Christmas and in November will be rattling tins and asking for donations of tinned food and toiletries in the local Sainsbury’s store for the Women’s Refuge.

SI Pendleside recently held a market stall in Clitheroe to raise funds for the Air Ambulance. The team sold £137 of goods. Our Social Secretary Barbara thought she may have found something of value as there on what appeared to be a piece of silver a hall mark. Would this make the Club’s fortune? Would the Air Ambulance’s problems be solved? Unfortunately no. it was worthless. Still better luck next time.

SI Pendleside does not, at present, have a website.
