Programme Action is at the centre of Soroptimism and this is certainly so in SI Lancaster.

Currently producing their 15th Storysack to help bring books to life and encourage children to develop a love of reading. The photograph shows local Reception-class children acting out a story),

Club members support three women both financially and by writing letters, to Murisa in Bosnia and Donata and Donathile in Rwanda. Reading their replies often causes tears at club meetings – they struggle even for basic needs. Donathile, on completion of her sponsorship through Women Working for Women, reported improvement in all areas of her life.
