Race for Life

Clean Up Campaign

Club members spent the morning collecting rubbish from Pathhead Sands, Kirkcaldy, in April 2009. All sorts of interesting debris was collected from the beach and grassy areas, after which the club enjoyed lunch together. Oxfam Evening

Club members enjoyed an 'Oxfam Evening' when guest speaker, Michael Marra, Policy and Public Affairs Co-ordinator for Oxfam, outlined the history of Oxfam from its foundation in 1942. He spoke of his work, emphasising that the solutions to poverty are not simple and that 'actions as well as cash' are required. Members of SI Kirkcaldy showed off items they had bought in their local Oxfam shop in support of the charity.
